We’re Brandon and Meagan McDow, fifth-generation Texans who grew up living the western and outdoor lifestyle. Hard work, faith, and time spent outside have shaped who we are and how we raise our family.
Tejas Hunt Club was built from our desire to create something bigger than ourselves, a place where tradition meets modern capability. We believe in personal responsibility, preparedness, and the importance of passing on those values through mentorship. Our goal is to be a resource for those who want to get more involved in the outdoors, whether they’re just beginning their journey or looking to deepen their skills and connection to the lifestyle.
Through our work as storytellers, we also hope to capture and share the beauty of this lifestyle, the moments that remind us why we do what we do and why it’s worth preserving. What started in 2020 as a virtual hunt club, a Facebook group and a podcast, quickly grew into a thriving community of hunters, anglers, and outdoorsmen across South Texas.
Tejas means friendship, and that’s at the core of everything we do. Like the old camps and leases where generations gathered, hunted, and passed down their knowledge, we’re building a culture rooted in camaraderie, mentorship, and tradition. It’s about keeping what matters alive and welcoming new voices into the fold.
